since you published this list: who was the woman with a red bandana playing her uke to her happy-bouncing baby?

That was soooo Cute Overload!

I miss this video

whats that a reference to?

Molly's so awesome.

Do you HAVE to keep abbreviating it as "uke?" Some of us have had our minds ruined by fandom and anime, you know!

Yeah, I'm with Shay Guy up there: I admit to being really really broken, but I read this and thought initially it must have been some kind of twisted fanfic fantasy. When I read "uke" I thought something completely different.

That being said, that was a great video. :D

Indeed it's cute, I just would like to understand what is the whole reason for the sudden fascination with ukeleles! It seems that for the past six months, there were more posts on ukelele videos than on any other subject.
Anybody can explain it to me?

#2 - The Internet. That's really all you need to know. Really.

Or just Google the first three words.

i like the everyone poops shirt

Thank you; I needed that smile.

#6: I think it's just the sudden realization that, despite all the jokes. the ukulele really is a legitimate musical instrument. The accordion has been experiencing a similar revival, as the generation which OD'd on it fades away and uncorrupted kids rediscover it.

The shirt on the left is pretty hysterical!

#6 -- I've been playing the ukulele for at least 10 years. I stopped blogging about ukes on Boing Boing and started a new blog called ukulelia.com. But then I stopped blogging on ukulelia, and started blogging about ukes again on Boing Boing. Don't ask me why, because I don't know why.

ok, that's a good enough explanation! If you're an ukeleler (if that's the term), then it all fits. I was just wondering why the wave of ukelele and not, say, xylophone renditions. But musical choices are not something we can explain, just enjoy.

Wow, this is the second time Molly has been Boing Boing'd!! This has to be some kind of record...

For all those who like the shirt, it comes from here:
"Everyone Poops" via Threadless.com

All the shirts on threadless are printed in limited quantities, so at the moment it's all sold out, but you can request a reprint. Likely to be reprinted around November.

MJ's funeral cost a mil

Michael Jackson's funeral cost one million dollars. His final outfit cost $35,000, and the flowers cost $16,000. Lord. Obviously I'm no MJ anyhow, but when I die, if there's a mil lying around? Feel free to bury me in nekkid dirt and use the rest to feed pie to starving kids.... More.
