Disney By Mark has scanned and uploaded a 1955 Disneyland guidebook, produced in the park's first year of operation. It's full of contrafactual notes about forthcoming attractions that never emerged, and curious and charmingly stilted descriptions from the dawn of the modern themeparkian era. I've stuck some of my favorite spreads below, after the jump.
The 1955 Guidebook was produced before Disneyland opened. If fact many of the attractions were in the process of being built. Because of this, it's full of beautiful concept artwork and some surprises too.
