Thanks, I already wasted 3 hours watching the stupid movie in the first place, I don't need to watch stupid people parody other stupid people parodying that same stupid movie. They're not even in 3D!
No, dude, you look like an Avatard now.
I don't need to watch stupid people parody other stupid people parodying that same stupid movie.
Is someone holding a gun to your head? Maybe you should dial 911.
I thought it was weak and vindictive in a sad way.
The girl actually made a mildly funny video, she's in no way professional but did a pretty good job of making an ironic vid on the topic.
This guy on the other hand seems to think that aggressively parroting her video and making a few ad hominem attacks on her and beating on her material = outrageously funny.
it's painful and weak for someone who claims to be in the business of funny.
Concur with Angstrom. The girl's video cracked me up, keeping me wondering at first if she was doing it on purpose or not.
His... well there's a reason why the "everyman" hates the "media elite".
That guy got PAID to mock some teenager. I guess you're the man now, dawg.
Tobias Funke?
I am glad I am not the only one who found the whole mocking thing squicky.
I mean really, it wasn't really needed or funny. I hope his check bounces
That was some mean spirited shitty shittiness right there. The girl's video was cute and witty. The professional comedian just came off looking like an asshole. But hey I wouldn't have known about the original without you guys giving the shitty parody free advertising.
Yeah, Joe Mande seems like he lacks talent and is super not funny. Kinda sucks he's a comedian. Maybe he should go back and talk to his guidance counselor.
"That guy got PAID to mock some teenager. I guess you're the man now, dawg."
FTW
God, I'm already in a cold sweat anticipating all the furries/cosplayers at the next losercon.
I'm confused. If I'm supposed to dislike BeautifulPeople.com for marginalizing people for their looks, why am I supposed to laugh at some dopey comedian that's essentially doing the same thing?
yeah, this is pretty painful to watch. I would expect this from a 9 year old, but not a comedian(?) and an adult.
Honestly I find it extra odd that it came from Xeni, since she usually tries to post positive things especially when regarding a person's body image. Now I'm sitting around curious as to whether or not she actually watched it or just passed on a link from someone.
Also - she ended up actually looking like the 'real' thing.
I thought our consciousness had finally been raised to the point that we as a society would stop tolerating "blue face" and the minstrel tubes!
I concur wholeheartedly with the majority. I didn't even get to his mocking part, 3 seconds in I felt he's not funny but she really was. The post it with Jonas Bros. scrawled on it over his stage right shoulder was funny. But is that guy was being a dick why's his vid was up and not hers?
Please say it isn't so...........
That seemed rather mean spirited.
She's funnier.
There is no EPIC here, not even an EPIC fail, it is just a sad little video of a guy trying to be funny by mocking someone for no reason. Add me to the chorus saying this guy is not funny at all, and is just being a dick.
The girl in the original video did a great job of skirting the line of self-deprecating humor and the scary kind of dead serious that I wasn't sure at first if she was actually taking it that seriously. She had me amused through the whole thing, and her makeup ended up looking pretty good.
From the sad little "duh" faces until I shut it off as he was making fun of her being "into disabled guys" this guy was pathetic and trying way too hard to be funny through sarcastic parroting and random attacking of the original girl. I didn't find any of it funny. If they paid him for this, no matter what tit was they didn't get their moneys worth.
Weird. I thought when he said he was into "big girls that are into disabled people" he was making a joking reference to the plot of the movie itself. But then I watched the original, and the girl does say something like that. In that context, it does kinda make him sound like a dick.
In any case, you'd think that a professional would know the cardinal rule of funny videos: you can't (or shouldn't) parody a parody video. It just doesn't work.
I thought the parody was embarrassing too.
I'm not sure about that "cardinal rule of comedy" but I know if you belittle the afflicted you look like a bully.
Oh, and girls like make up and dressing up and stars and fun and puppies, etc... Get used to it.
The girl who made the original video has a way better sense of humor than this guy. And for all of you who are wondering she is in fact joking. She does a great job making us wonder if her actions are authentic or not. Try watching her other makeup tutorials, they are hilarious. I recommend the Chola make up tutorial, and 'How to look like a Whore'.
Wait... wasn't this movie based on the cartoon about the bald kid who has a blue arrow on his head?
I don't get it. First he steals her joke and then he makes fun of her? Plus, he's totally biting Aziz Ansari's delivery.
i haven't seen the original video, or the movie for that matter, but i thought this was pretty funny.
now i watched her video. his is definitely funnier.
Tobias: "I blue myself."
Michael: "There has got to be a better way to say that."
Arrested Development
Yeah, same reaction here. He just steals her jokes and then makes fun of her.
It's almost like he didn't realize her video was a joke. Great, so he's a comedian without a sense of irony. Brilliant.
Does he also do fart jokes?
I watched his vid first and thought it was funny. Then I watched hers and thought it was funny too. But it makes him look like a real douche.
Pile it on much?
I like 'em both.
