Musician's open letter, sung to Peter Mandelson, Britain's Pirate-Finder General

This tune isn't as catchy as the one for Lily Allen, and the fact that he's done it before takes a lot away from the novelty.

Still, great lyrics and a great message.

If only we could hope to make our politicians see just how wrong this is, but the truth is, they know, they just don't care. Lobbyists pay them and keep them in power. What does it matter if the people agree? Most people aren't paying enough attention for it to matter, and even if they did, the politicians police each other and they are all corrupt. It's basically a game of choose-your-dictator.

This idea of disconnecting the whole household seems modeled after the policy bulldozing of entire Palestinian homes connected to one individual.

This would be 100x better if it was set to "modern major general"

This is superb. The lilly allen one is better, true. Nice bit of synchronicity between the two though.

Is this getting radio play in the UK? Is everyone there calling in to request it?

(that'd be sweet!)

Since reading Larken Rose's book "How to be a successful tyrant" I see all these stories of stupid politicians/tyrants very different. They should have read Larken's book to avoid these silly and counter productive mistakes in allowing their subjects to see their true intentions so clearly. A good tyrant would get musicians like Dan Bull create a hymn FOR Mandy. So shame on you, Mandy, for for not studying up on your basic skills. Go, get the book and read it!

Would be nice to play this over the speaker system in the House of parliament...
