Could backfire. I would never steal someone's lunch from the fridge, but I would definitely throw out moldy food.

Still, a hilarious concept.

Avoids theft, but what about someone looking to keep the office fridge clean? Straight to the garbage with your delicious ham and cheese.

You see, this is why Boing Boing is bad for America.

Because of Boing Boing spreading this information, the lunch stealers will now know about this security measure and defeat it.

That's 40 cents a bag?! For that price I could afford to have my sandwich stolen a couple of times. I think the glad sandwich bags at like 300 for $2 work just fine.

I'm with Tgg166. If I saw this in a fridge at work, I'd toss it in the basket. Mold spreads so the longer that item stays in that fridge, the greater the chance that the entire fridge becomes a mess. So tough it's cool idea to prevent tampering, it's probably MORE likely the dude would lost his sandwich.
