There's something very wrong when wireless speeds are exceeding wired speeds.
In other news, mobile phone manufacturers have started releasing high-speed network handsets. These are just like regular handsets, but with 12-volt car batteries attached to them.
Deploying where? The article says it's the US but why should we assume that? Please try to remember that a lot of your readers don't live where you do. :-)
3G speeds are never anywhere near that, though
while your numbers are technically accurate, please consider that NO 3g networks have 14mbps down. (at least in the US. to be fair, i'm not sure globally)
Most are in the range of 1-4mbps.
T-mobile is rolling out 7.2mbps by year's end.
ATT will do the same by 2011.

Yeah, these announcements about T-Mobile are pretty disingenuous. They may have fast 3G, but I just got it where I live a few months ago, and if I try to use it in my car the 3G drops out about 80% of the time as I drive around town. Using it for streaming music apps or anything like that is useless. I stopped even bothering to use the internet for anything other than maps unless I was near a wifi spot.
T-mobile operates their 3G at 1700mhz in the US, which is unique around the world. They do not use the standard GSM frequenceis of 850/950 1900/2100mhz. You have to use a phone you get from TMobile to take advantage of the speeds. Sadly, an unlocked iPhone does not work on TMO's 3G.

Not only does T-Mobile's current coverage make the UK's look good, it even manages to be worse than AT&T's whaaambulance-inducing map. Based on their prior performance, I'll believe it when I see it.
Actually there is something very right about it. We look at wireless broadband right now as a bit of a novelty. Something to augment our primary wired broadband connections. But as communication technology is more seemlessly integrated into our lives, "computing" becomes less and less about sitting at your desk infront of your PC and more about it assisting you in whatever task is at hand no matter where you are. And why should any connection be limited by door to door infrastructure? Why shouldn't our wireless connections be our primary and only connection?
my t-mobile broad band is very quick,
its erm... 45mbps and really 5mbps download speed, when there advatising its as 3.6mbps and 4.6mbps "DAYLIGHT ROBBERY" thay should not be aloud to get away with it...
WORST BROADBAND EVER 56k dial up 10yrs ago would be a little bit better,
