Office Karaoke Video Makes Cubicle Life Fun

There are times I envy those who have to get dressed and go work with other people. Like, for instance, when I watch this awesome karaoke video. I haven't worked in a real office since 2006, so I'm left to conclude that you all totally have this much fun every day. Right?

P.S., the best part of this video is the woman who refuses to join in. Clearly, a fun-hater who hates fun. At the same time, I feel really sorry for her and would love to hear how she described this event to friends and family at the end of the day.

lip synching. not hatin! just sayin. loved it.

That was fun. And the woman who didn't join in? She didn't mock, just watched, a little amused. Even better, really.

Okay... I'm predicting:

a) A new series of mac ads

b) a new YT video theme that will beat out cute-twenty-something-girls-playing-eukelele's (sp?).

c) Everyone in this video except the one on the phone will get pink slips in their HR file.

The great Jocko has spoken.

I don't know about CLEARLY. She was kind of smiling. There shouldn't be pressure for someone to join in on something like this at the risk of being called a hater of fun.

Since I found this video on my twitter feed a few days ago, I've probably watched it 2 or 3 times a day. I can't help but smile after watching. The only draw back: I get the song stuck in my head just *thinking* about the video.

Of course, this would be the opposite of karaoke, right?

@jockmac22 If they do all get pink slips, I will be interviewing there so I can join the next karaoke performance before I too get fired from there.

I want to work there! I don't care what they are doing, I'll learn it!

Much less 'fun hating' than simply 'less-outgoing' than the rest of the crew-in fact, she seems to be enjoying the theatre. Plus, someone has to do some work!

Anyway, fun vid, thanks.

I must say that by no means am I a fun-hating fun hater. I was actually class clown and most fun to be with in high school. Not to mention I continue to humorously woo most I come into contact with on a daily basis. With that said, I would not participate because a) I don't know the lyrics to this song, b) despised Backside Boys and their manufactured pop-for-fame music, and c) I don't have a mouth.

fun-hater is obviously taking a personal call. Predicting DMCA takedown in 3...2...1...now!

Reminds me of this other awesome office video:

I figured fun-hating fun-hater didn't really hate fun. I was almost positive she enjoyed it, but she just didn't know the words.

It's sad these people know the words to this song.

or perhaps

d) Viral marketing for Apple?

I don't blame her, I only know the Weird Al version of this song ..'on eBay'...

who's to say that they weren't all on lunch or some other break? the (possibly misnamed) fun-hater was taking personal calls, too, so it's all good. and didn't she pop in at the very end and contribute a line? it was dark, so it was hard to tell.

all that being said, this could be organized by many people not in the same room. in fact, i'm certain it has been done. cubicle dwellers don't get all the fun!

Useless without zig-zag beards.

Who IS that blonde fox?!

That looks like enough fun that I might try to coax my colleagues into doing something similar. We don't all have bewebcammed lapbooks though.

That said I think the original is better:

Now you know why you have to sit on hold for 30 minutes when you call your bank.

This is awesome! Wish everybody could work with people this fun!

Obviously, she didn't want it that way.

Also, the guy in the grey t-shirt is hot. But probably not gay. Sigh.

Put me down for another "she's not necessarily a fun hater" - I thought she was just a bit shy. I wish I worked in an office where this was even remotely likely.... ah well.

I. Hate. Them.

Brilliant. I've been watching it for two weeks and I love everything about it. I think the woman not singing is totally calculated and is there as a contrast. This is art peoples nothing accidental about it. Beautifully conceived, masterfully executed. Joy, pure and simple.

how did Bridget Jones get in this video?

I'd love to know what they used in terms of software for capturing and then editing the video ... still trying to wrap my head around music synced video editing ... iMovie is just not the right tool for that ...

Very cool .. i hope they do more songs ... request 'baby got back' sir mixalot :)

Fun, made us laugh and want to make one.

That woman must be Angela..lol
I'm 63 and retired,but I want to work there!!!!!

I love that the office is a wreck when they're all done...

We (finally) did something similar for Halloween this year, creating a music video for the supremely cheesy "(I've Had) The Time of My Life"
