Robert Popper has posted an appreciation of Supreme Master Television, a cult-backed satellite television network I've seen advertised in airports around the world, but never before bothered to google. There's a lot to love in this clip. Robert: I'd like to know when we can say "hebbo!" to a Tar... More.
Over at Gizmodo, Wilson Rothman has a great post up about a new book on the photography and the creative process of Norman Rockwell. Ron Schick edited and compiled the collection.

With gaming's current trend toward the nostalgic taking us on Bit.Trips and Extreme invasions, and with indies giving us de-made versions of modern classics, it more or less follows logically that we'd eventually see the imageat top.

I dig this Periodic Table Table that appeared on MAKE. One commenter there says he thinks it's from the Wake Forest University campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Great idea for a... science park. (Thanks, Lindsay Tiemeyer!)

I met Alice Cooper at a charity golf-tournament about 10 years ago here in Colorado... genuinely nice guy, and not a bad golfer to boot. ;-)
And rest-in-peace Soupy. You made me laugh thousands of times on the boob-tube. Not a bad life, sir! Making people laugh is an incredibly undervalued gift.
I think that show would have been difficult to watch for more than three minutes!
Still a great fan of Alice, but his appearance on current commercials campaign (flyers, mail, etc) for an electronics market here in Germany is somehow sad :/

Around the same time Alice did The Muppet Show, non?
I can't believe how young and skinny Alice was!

Years ago I found this exact episode on video for rent at my local grocery store. Alice does another bit in full rubber-spiked armor. He actually came across as relatively normal as compared to ol' Soupy. I was amazed at how willing Alice was to laugh at himself and his persona. Can you imagine Marilyn Manson or Slipknot volunteering for a face full of Reddi Whip?
