Chillits is an annual outdoor ambient music festival that takes place in the fall in the redwoods of Willits, California. I've never attended in person, but the DJs post their lovely musical sets online as MP3s and Torrents. This music keeps me calm all year, or tries anyway. I suggest starting with the sounds of DF Tram, but I'm biased. He's my favorite ambient DJ, spinning transgenre mixes inspired by and drawing from electronica, jazz, avant-garde classical, and the history of computer music.

To answer someone's question, I think it's a good bet that if you like these current mixes, that previous years will not disappoint. I dl'd them all a few months ago and am still working my way through them and they are spectacular. Sound quality is solid all the way back to 2000, and I've really only ever heard a couple mixes I wouldn't listen to again. Some have gone into permanent rotation.
