Unfortunately, a large fraction of SF/Fantasy seems to have been written using exactly such a framework...

Fortunately he's so entertaining I could read this stuff forever. Hmm, if we could get him to write large chunks of prose corresponding to these topics I may never have to buy a book again.

@Alec: It's probably a flowchart for male writers. Female writers just need to reverse the roles and add more romance branches.
