The sound effects in that last game bought back memories of many hours spent in front of the Atari as a child :)
Sadly, It has been 2 years since I signed up for boing boing and I no longer remember my password or the email account associated with my name - my computer remembered for me. But now the whole thing has changed and I can't sign in. I wish there was something I could do but when I searched for moderation policy (where people are usually nice and fix things) and when I searched my user name I got pages that said that was private unauthorized info. Is there any chance that things will change so that my browser will again recognize your site? Or should I just think it has been a good two years and move on. Afterall, I never got all my "favorites" back after the last "upgrade". Sigh.
Either you just got viralled, or Post-it bought it for an ad after the fact. Any idea which it is?
I guess it doesn't really matter, though, it's still adorable. Wasteful, but adorable.
Er- isn't this a commercial for Post-Its, and not a homemade video? There's clearly a logo at the end.
Moreover, the SK1 didn't make synth sounds like that. It was PCM-sample based, not a true wave generator.
i've got a casio sk-1 and it absolutely makes those sounds. in fact, i've got mine making them now. sorry, brett.
Hi Everyone,
I'm one of the creators of the vid - thanks for your comments.
1) The video was made out of fun (and boredom) then tagged with the logo after it was finished - I was in ad school at the time and wanted to use it for a class.
2) The soundtrack is all SK1 samples - the game SFX are from free sound project (if I recall correctly)
Thanks again,
t
"The video was made out of fun" ... me write good now.
