Awesome! Thanks for the shout out, Cory!
I'm a director of the Leeds hack space and one of the instigators of this event (and long time BoingBoing appreciator).
A bit more background for those who are interested: we're still raising funds to get the actual hack space venue off the ground (it ain't cheap!) so we're hoping to organise many of these smallish hack days around Leeds over the next few months. This event is hosted by NTI Leeds at Old Broadcasting House.
You might also like to check out the OpenLeeds.org.uk project, a do-it-ourselves civic initiative which aims to make available local, social and historic data for free reuse to benefit the city.
Can't wait 'til Saturday! Will try to take videos of stuff and let you all know how it goes.
Yet another fantastic geek event in Leeds and as usual hosted by the amazing people at NTI who keep making their venue available for every crazy idea we have be it a BarCamp, a photocamp, or anything interesting. Without NTI the Leeds geek scene would not be anything like as strong as it is.
