Also in that vein, where they aren't.

I find this a bit offensive. Chris McCandless lost his life in search of enlightenment.

Just because both films have the word "wild" in the title doesn't make it fair game.

Nothing personal, but Chris McCandless was an idiot who committed suicide. He turned down an offer that would have better prepared him for his "quest for enlightenment" like a f'in map and compass.

Tin Woodsman: What have you learned, Dorothy?
Dorothy: Well, I - I think that it - it wasn't enough to just want to see Uncle Henry and Auntie Em - and it's that - if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with! Is that right?

What an interesting bit of coincidence, I was mentioning Richard Proenneke (who lived alone in Alaska for decades in a hand built cabin) to someone just yesterday.

Everyone loses their life eventually. Does that mean you can never alter a photo containing a human being?

Given that someone got upset the other day about using James Dean, who's been dead for 55 years, in an ad, I guess the answer is 'yup'. It seems to be a new meme.

#2, yes it does.

MJ's funeral cost a mil

Michael Jackson's funeral cost one million dollars. His final outfit cost $35,000, and the flowers cost $16,000. Lord. Obviously I'm no MJ anyhow, but when I die, if there's a mil lying around? Feel free to bury me in nekkid dirt and use the rest to feed pie to starving kids.... More.
