Cool scene from dance show: Shadowland

Amazing dance scene from Pilobolus's SHADOWLAND: the "Transformation" excerpt.

Pilobolus is a "nonprofit modern dance theater obsessed with experimental digital media."

The show opens in Madrid on September 15. Can't wait until it comes to Los Angeles!

Although no one is turned into a sheep, shadow dance lovers may want to check out the shadow dance sequence in Disney's 1946 feature "Make Mine Music" featuring Tania Riabouchinskaya and David Lichine.

So, wait. He turns a woman into a dog, and then into a woman with a dog's head, and then he kicks her out of the house? Kinda misogynistic, isn't it?

Human/animal hybrids!

I was fortunate enought to catch a performance in Madrid. I was impressed by the interactions between the characters, the use of shadow and the dance. It was the highlight of what was an excellent week in Madrid. Catch it if you can.
