Poster artist Ward Sutton did a great 12-panel comic strip review of the film Died Young, Stayed Pretty, a documentary film by Eileen Yaghoobian about show posters that opened at the IFC Film Center in NYC July 17. (Here's a trailer for the film.)

I'd never heard of this but will have to check it out- I've seen the American Plague at Pilot Light several times. nice/odd to see a Knoxville reference on BB!

AHHHH! The 'slideshow' feature makes the panels go by way too fast and I wasn't able to get it to stop until I closed the tab. Make sure you click the double-arrow instead of the single arrow if you're trying to read it.

I saw the movie at SXSW. It's about 50% quirky characters and 50% art philosophy, which makes for a very interesting film.

Excellent. Now can someone make a musical about this comic-strip, then a movie based on that musical so I can buy the poster for it and put it next to my poster for The Producers?

Heh, the Pilot Light. About a 3 minute bike ride from my apartment. You know they pretty much only serve warm PBR there... if you can get Jesus Bill to pay attention to you, that is.

A comic strip about a film about posters advertising performances. I'm totally adapting this for a radio play.
