I got my Dell Mini10V in the mail yesterday. It's small and red and pretty, but I had one minor issue with my order. When I was personalizing my order online, it asked me if I wanted a 24WHr 3-cell battery or a 56WhHr 6-cell battery; the 6-cell was just $35 more, but had double the lif... More.

No, this isn't about holy water as a miracle swine flu vaccine. Rather, some Catholic churches in Italy are replacing holy water basins with more sanitary electronic dispensers that spurt out a single serving of the magical fluid. From The Telegraph:
It functions like an automatic soap dispenser ... More.

Wow, it's apparently Debunking 2012 Day here on BoingBoing. I honestly had no idea that David had his Mark Dery post in the works. But it does segue nicely into what I had planned. The Information is Beautiful blog put together an infographic that explains--in a short and quick format---what the 2... More.
Administrative item: This post is dated today on the Website, but in my RSS feed it's dated from July (7/6/2009 07:45). Yesterday's post on "Back to school donation drive for my [Cory's] books" was dated July 2 (7/2/2009 11:41) in my RSS feeds.
The ordering (and dating) of feed articles is very often somewhat different from the order (and date) they're blogged, but usually not this bad. Guest bloggers often show up way out of sync with the rest of the Boingers, but still generally within 24 hours.
BTW: Mark's "Serialization of the Deal" posts from last year were similarly wonky. I guessed he was posting copies of his first post (Chapter 1) so they seemed more and more archaic when listed by date in my feedreader. In the BB blog itself, the dates appeared as normal.
I'm wondering why this happens, and wishing it could stop. (Yeah, I know; I'm dealing with it well enough, and not planning on going on a tri-state shooting spree because of it. I'd just prefer more...synchronicity.)

None of my zines now wear, nor ever have worn sandals or elf shoes!
Will BB show at San Francisco zine fest? Maybe with a reprint of the old zine?
Now that I think about it, it would be nice to organize a similar FEST for blogs in SF or Tokyo...
