Behold, Carmencita Calderón, rocking the tango at her 100 year birthday party. And here are more videos of famous tango dancers, dancing when they were older. Both via Manolo the shoeblogger.

Wow. Saunt Edhar's hopping since the anti-swarm. I can't wait for the millenarian party

Wow.

Xeni, that made me teary eyed at the reference desk. I only hope I can do the Mashed Potato at my 100th.

Tai chi teacher used to talk in wonderment about what his 80 year old Sifu could do. I would always say "No wonder I'm no good, I'm not even close to 80".

I don't know whether it's the better hygiene or the preservatives in our food, but the number of agile centenarians has been rising steadily over the last decade. The future bodes well for us. (Unless we all grow fat and die at sixty years of age.)

I love the shoes she's wearing at her age!

This is really wonderful. And her shoes! I really love it. I can't even dance a tango without stumbling about and I'm young.

My own grandma in Uruguay is 96 and still plays the guitar.
