I would like to know this guy during the zombie apocalypse.

Nothing like encouraging people who "don't have to have a good shot" shooting moving targets by holding a shotgun upside down over their heads.

if you thought that old Benelli was something...

I've seen this before. And people ask me why guns are cool.

That actually put a smile on my face. I needed that, thank you.

#1 - My sentiments exactly.

I wonder how many out takes for each trick?

Are those clay birds bio degradable? What about the pellets?

I second #1 Ratdog. Do we know his favorite variety of freeze-dried military ration? I for one welcome him to my underground bunker ANY apocalypse.

#8: They're made of "natural" materials, that is limestone dust and petroleum pitch. They're supposedly "non toxic" because the pitch doesn't leech into water.

As far as the ammo, for hunting loads the pellets are usually steel or bismuth alloys. For trap and skeet shooting it's usually lead pellets since it's cheaper.

FreakCity, clay is a natural material.

I doubt he needs many outtakes. The good exhibition shooters are very good. Ad Topperwein - exhibition shooter for Winchester - once shot 72,500 targets in 10 days and missed a total of 9. The targets were 2 1/4" wooden blocks thrown into the air, and he did it with a .22 rifle, not a shotgun. It's also worth mentioning that it was raining most of the time. Toward the end, they ran out of wood blocks, so they took the larger pieces and he shot them again.

I've seen this video before (my dad is an avid trap and skeet shooter), and also made the same comment as #1. Yep. He's amazing.

Anyone else think the perspective this was shot from seems kinda weird. Sometimes it looks like he's throwing the clay birds 2 feet in front of the shotgun before hitting them, other times it looks like they're going like 100 yards off or more.

Insane. That's gun control we can all agree to. :)

People always seem most worried about the guys with fifty guns in their person arsenals. But really, nuts are mostly just nerds who geek out over loud noises and powerful toys. It's pretty obvious in this clip.

This guy isn't going to accidentally shoot your dog one night after a few beers, and his kids know damn well not to play with dad's toys.

Gun nuts are the original technogeeks.

Enjoyed the video!

The Remington 870's a far better value for your money than a Benelli, but the smoother action of the Benelli is probably attractive to the professional trick shooter.

Did /everyone/ fall for this video? Noone got the gimmick?

Those orange targets he's throwing: they're very short-fused grenades. they're going to explode whether or not he shoots. he's lucky none of them went off in his hand!

Its so obvious. You can especially see it when he threw up the 6 targets at one time.

videos like this show in detail why guns must be banned and limited to trained military personel only.

now every teenager who sees this wants to do the same, but always with disasterous results, perhaps its just the family dog that gets blown to bits, but don't let that fool you. your children might be next.

Watching this video, my primary thought is:
I'm glad I'm not a bird.

Phear the Benelli.

MarkM: And amazing how he times his shots so exactly for those individual explosions! And lucky that two never explode at the same time. Also, his spent-shell shooting trick was clearly done with short-fused-grenade shells -- lucky none of them went off in his gun!

I've long been a shotgun fan. These Moderns, mostly SWAT teams, all want fancy German machine pistols that are often prone to jamming. A shotgun can compensate (or not, as this video shows) for your crappy aim with buckshot just as well as the zillion little bullets of the automatic can. Plus there are endless special purpose shells: tear-gas, buckshot, armour-piercing, smoke and more! Plus the ever popular "knock-knock" muzzle attachment which (briefly) links up your shotgun to a doorknob.

You can, for QA purposes or fun, make your own shells whereas that's not really feasible with something firing many shells a second.

In a typical SWAT situation you can load up with magazine of special purpose shells in the order you want to use them: a buckshot for the window, a lighter buckshot for the blinds, a tear-gas or two, and then some AP for whoever pops out of the window. Let's see a Glock do that!

Gun nuts the original technogeeks? Naahh... trebuchet nuts are where it's at.

As far as guns go though, a basic shotgun is a great tool. Sport, food and self defense all in one versatile package.
