Steorn, developers of free-energy gadget called Orbo, have managed to survive for six years without having successfully demonstrated the technology in public. It must be some kind of record. But yesterday, an Orbo was installed at the Waterways Ireland Visitor Centre, and you can see a live video s... More.
Slate's culture editor John Swansburg says,
Just posted an
article by my colleague Dan Engber on the subject of animal
masturbation. It turns out that onanism has been observed throughout the
animal kingdom: dogs do it, cats do it, horses do it, turtles do it,
birds love to do it. Some moose can... More.
The Obama administration imposes a 3 hour maximum on airlines that strand passengers on the tarmac, after which they must be let free. Cardboard Brian* and I met at a ski shop in Colorado. He was hanging out by the front door, smiling indiscriminately at passersby. I instantly fell for his charming, goofy, lopsided grin. The shop employee said he wasn't for sale, but he let me take him home anyway.
I was drawn to Cardboard Bria... More.

So. Awesome.
This is beautiful, I always loved this cover. Makes me reminisce back to a time when I lent my bass cabinet to MDC.
Lovely but insanely out of my price range. I need to check the boxes but I think I have that issue. I know I have 1 through 20.

That silkscreen looks fantastic
Neat JFrancis! I have the original art of the first page of the first Maggie and Hopey story from the first issue of Love and Rockets. (Here's the top half of the page.)

Totally sublime.
$200 for a poster? are you mad?
Scan at 300dpi into photoshop, despeckle, Ctrl L, sample out the red.
Save.
Download Rasterbator, load the pic, decide how huge you want the poster, set print to edge, load a B&W printer with red paper.
And go.
Some assembly required.
Oh and if they ever do reissue this as a shirt... red on a black shirt this time.
Please.
One of the best ss posters I've ever seen. Great visual impact. (this from a pro)
