Star Wars fan recreation

The creators of Star Wars: Uncut sliced Star Wars: A New Hope into 472 fifteen second clips and invited anyone to pick a scene to recreate scenes. Once completed, all of the recreated scenes will be cut together into what will almost undoubtedly be a funny and weird crowdsourced fan remake. Star Wars: Uncut (via @BBVBOX)

Every single scene is already taken, so I didn't get to sign up.

I know enough about human nature that at least a few people will fail to finish theirs within 30 days. So maybe I still have a chance to grab "That wizard's just a crazy old man."

Haha the one finished with stop motion figurines is gold. I'd love to see the WHOLE movie redone like that.

I want that to happen to 1001 Nights.

This idea was done sometime in the early 2000 with Beethoven's 5th. (still a great idea) Sucks though that the instigator is limiting the audio options of the clip creators.

Prove Clay Shirky right! I'd pay serious money to watch the results.

As a huge fan of Star Wars, I sure hope the 15 second clips have at least some production value. If they're all like the example, Scene 300, the end result will be unwatchable. Put the microphone somewhere near the actor's face, people!

And I have to agree with RRH, except that "a few people" is probably an understatement. I'll bet money that no more than 50% of the people who claimed a scene will actually turn in a usable recreation of their scene. Is that cynical of me?
