Sure, it's a tad Bat for Lashes, but who's keeping track? This delightful promo spot for the Bicycle Film Festival, a "celebration of bicycles through film, art, and music" underway in Minneapolis as of today through July 12, was brought to you by this isn't happiness, one of my favorite blogs.

Checked out the "this isn't happiness" site. Saw their sweet riff on Life magazine The understated headline for the picture of a woman on a phone: Twitter Sucks. Petesky please. Petesky? Pretty much made my day. So now I have yet another site to check out frequently instead of getting actual work done. Thanks. I think.
The Keirin movie looks great, but since I'm not involved in fixie subculture there is not a lot here for me at the "bicycle" film festival. Note that while this is going on, there remains no place in SF to watch the Tour de France.
triplets of belleville is aweomse animation.
i'm sad to see they didn't include "Ladri di biciclette" (The Bicycle Thief); 1949. that's a good one too.

Man, I'm surprised I didn't hear about this sooner. The papers in the Twin Cities haven't really pushed this at all. Thanks for posting, I hope to check this out this weekend!
I went to one of their programs in NYC already.
Pretty excellent documentary that I watched about Pedi-Cabs cap in NYC called "Third Wheel"
last years festival actually had that Bat for Lashes video as a submission. maybe the new promo is a tip to that video.
What, no Queen for the promo? And here I was pumped for some serious Bicycle Race music action! But whatever...I guess...
...I'm so @!#$@%$ wired to that song...

The Bicycle Thief is playing at an event in Minneapolis at the Institute of Art on July 16th! (If you are in the Cities, you should go to the event: http://www.artsmia.org/index.php?section_id=284 There's also a pre-party...)
