Get-together July 9 in Chicago

I'll be in Chicago on July 9 to see a production of the highly praised theatrical adaptation of my novel Little Brother. The July 9 show is sold out (performances run until July 18), but Bill Massolia, who wrote the play and runs the company, has organized a get-together beforehand. If you're in Chicago, I'd love to see you and say hi!
Meet Cory Doctorow before the show.
July 9, 5:45pm to 7:00pm.

Jack's Bar & Grill/404 Wine Bar
2856 North Southport Ave. Chicago
773-404-8400

I love the name of the Wine Bar -- though I worry about it being not found.

Is this part of the ALA meeting? Or will you be speaking there?

The wine bar is only a few blocks away from Schubas which is an incredibly well known and popular bar, so I am sure people will be able to find it.

Wonderful! Can we bring a copy of Little Brother to be signed or would that be rude?

I saw the play last weekend with a friend and her family: it's excellent, and I think you'll enjoy it.

Dang, I have to teach a Linux class that night...at least it's a totally geek excuse. (Thursday's topic: Compression, Systems Back-Up and Software Installation). Glad you're doing this though; please give your fans a chance to to visit with you next time you're in town. Will Tor send you on a promo tour for Makers?

@9: Not sure yet about MAKERS publicity! Hope so, though!

@ #3 JC, I believe Cory was referring to the 404 part of the address, as in "404 error: File not found." (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_404). Gave me a chuckle. :)

Darn, I don't get into Chicago until the 10th (for the ALA conference). Sorry to miss you, but enjoy Kansas!
