Finally, after about a decade of hesitant growth and eventual maturing, video seems to have reached a stable plateau (on the internet) - thank goodness Boing Boing vid-picks are of good quality. There are no nauseatingly-cute kitty cat viddiez that I can detect
On a more serious note, I've always been worried that the internet would become just another slightly glitzier version of dumb old cable TV, but that eventuality will have to wait for at least another few years until internet outlets figure out the real deal concerning accurate video advertising for a web audience.
However, one must admit that the gap between standard cable TV content and what's going on online (video-wise) is very narrow - in fact, for the most part overall internet video content is quite a bit more moronic than that found on yer average living room TV set.
