As regards the Arnolfini portrait, you just gotta see this documentary by art historian Waldemar Januszczak, he's actually English and speaks with a Cockney accent.

Based on the (apparently non-comprehensive) set of photoshop contests from Worth1000 that do get posted here, I get the impression that all they do over there is modify fine art in silly, though photoshopily impressive, ways.
