Hullabaloo salute to the Beatles' Rubber Soul
Spike Priggen says:
Man, they loved those Beatles Medleys back in the 60's and 70's... Here, the Righteous Brothers and Nancy Sinatra tackle songs from "Rubber Soul" with predictable results (very lame but slightly amusing).Hullabaloo Salute To "Rubber Soul"Righteous Brothers – "I've Just Seen A Face"
Nancy Sinatra & The Righteous Brothers – "Run For Your Life"
The Righteous Brothers – "Girl"
Nancy Sinatra & The Righteous Brothers – "Wait"
The Righteous Brothers – "Michelle"

Ouch. Those Vegas-style horns are painful.
I did some work with young people for C.O.R.E. in the West Los Angeles African American communities during the 60s. The Righteous Brothers were about the only white group they really listened to, especially "Blue Eyed Soul." The kids didn't think they were lame. It was all about "...That Lovin' feeling."
But they thought the Beatles were kinda cute.
Aaaah...the 60s could be dark and scary, in the zone where TV met "pop music". For your consideration:

i think the xylophone is a subliminal cu m shot of ridicule by the producers. good thing the soul is wearing a rubber.
My dad worked for the show so I got to visit often and meet the musicians. Being in one of the go-go scenes remains a fond memory - I still have my Hullabaloo sweatshirt and Freddy and the Dreamers autographs.
