Dave Hill's Chihuahua Dance

Dave Hill blows minds with his groundbreaking Chihuahua-based trick at Seth Herzog's "Sweet" show at the Slipper Room in New York City. The magic starts around 1:40 in to the clip: Dave Hill Chihuahua Dance. You may also enjoy this video, in which he schools Venus Williams, Serena Williams, and Jelena Jankovic at the Dave Hill Tennis Academy.

You couldn't do that with a chicken!
See why here

Chickens have very bizarre stabilisation so you can move their bodies about and the head stays fixed in place.

Amazing what passes for comedy these days.

Wait.....what was the part where our minds were blown? Because mine is fully intact. Really, Xeni?

I guess you had to be there.

Normally, I don't consider things on Boing Boing to be a waste of time...

Figure it out. It's not funny if she has to explain it!

You had to be there and be sitting in the front row.

This would be funny if one of my friends did it stoned in my kitchen at 3am.

The perspective of the internet and absence of intoxicating chemicals render it humorless.

I think this falls squarely into the category of funny if you were there but not at all necessarily funny on video.

This phenomena is why I live for live performance and hate to watch myself (and many others) on video. I have never seen Dave Hill live but I would not let this video stop me, despite not being the slight bit amused by it, because I know how different things can be when you are there.

Where's Keyboard Cat when one needs it?

sometimes, everyone's comments about the post are much funnier than the post itself.

that dog was very calm are relaxed about the whole thing, probably thinking "what's so funny?"

Wow that is amazing! I've never seen anything like it! How does he do it?

I know that dog, and she *loves* to dance!

WTF, this guy is talented?

It's not a trick if I can do it having seen it once on YouTube.

It's a gag.

Now, if he'd eaten the chihuahua whole, and then pulled it out of his pocket (which is sortta what I was expecting), that would be a trick.

I, for one, really enjoyed that. Dave Hill is about as funny as it gets. F the haterz.

I'm guessing fans of Tim and Eric find this awesome.

I am a gigantic fan of Tim and Eric. I told that to Eric personally not too long ago at some bar here in town.

That said, I did not find this awesome. It is not, to me, a great job.

I am not a fan of Dave Hill. I think others who find him funny are seeing something I am not, which is how I imagine the less certain see my obsession with Tim and Eric.

The certain either already like him or hate him. I don't hate Dave Hill. I just don't appreciate his art.

Dangling small dogs in mid-air is mind blowing. Well.
