Maker Faire 2009 time lapse

It's fun to watch the ebb and flow of the crowd in this time-lapse video of Maker Faire 2009, shot by Bill Sherman.

Wow! Looks like a great success. Congratulations. Can't wait for the Austin Faire. This will be my first one. :)

i'd like to see the camera higher up (like maybe hanging from the ceiling) and then have the feaux-tilt shift effect put on in post.

My family had a great time at Maker Faire (our third time at the San Mateo MF). Next year I hope to be able to attend both days.

I kept pausing, trying to spot myself or my friends, but I was unsuccessful. I guess that just drives home how huge the event actually is.

Congrats to the organizers on another successful event. Lots of old favorites, and lots of new material too.

RE the video: If I were a bored mall security worker, I'd be making time-lapse videos like this all the time and setting them to music.

I wanted to see my husband and myself, but alas, we just don't move slowly enough. Anyway, GREAT faire this year!! Next year, we'll have a BOOTH.

I've gotta wonder what Jungle Monkey will be exhibiting:
Indoor swing vines?
Cocoanut charicatures?
Interior demolition service?

I wandered around the rear gate for over an hour on Saturday, waiting for friends to show up; they were caught in alternate parking lot hell.

So, I might be in there. I'll check it out when I'm home and can access streaming media....

NoseHat- good news!
I think I found you.
I was there wearing my new spring feet, but after stepping on too many toes the security guys threw me bodily into the alley. Twice. Good times.

Ha ha! I love it!

Thanks Troofseeker! I should use that as my profile picture.

I can understand not wanting to wear a hat on your head- if you got 'hat hair', it'd get all bozo on yer ass: "Yes sir, I have years of experience."
"At what, balloon animals?!"
But wearing one on your nose? Well, you can thumb it at us when we all have melanoma nose.

There's someone carting around a giant American flag, you can see it first at 1:08-1:09 but I think it crops up a few times.
