"Mighty Uke" trailer

"Mighty Uke is a feature documentary that travels the world to discover why so many people of different nations, cultures, ages and musical tastes are turning to the ukulele to express themselves, connect with the past, and with each other. From the Redwoods of California through the gritty streets of New York, from swinging London through Tokyos highrise canyons to Hawaii, ukers tell the story of the peoples instrument: The Mighty Uke."

Here is my friend, Steven Strauss, playing Gilbert and Sullivan’s "The Sun Whose Rays Are All Ablaze" on his ukulele:

You know you spend too much time on manga/anime/fanfic forums when the word "uke" in a blog post title evokes "seme" before "ukelele"...

Although Tokyo and London are in 'different' nations, New York, California, and Hawaii are not. Way to skew the results! ;)

I love Reed, and I love BoingBoing. Two great tastes, together!

Come by for Uke Fest this summer. The dorks seem to love it, and it cracks me up every year.
