Knit replica of village took 23 years

The ladies of the Afternoon Club in Mersham, England, knitted this complete replica of their village over the course of 23 years. It's to be sold in pieces to benefit the local hall.

That makes me think of The Avengers episode The girl from Auntie where Arwright's knitting circle are knitting a Bungalow.

Does it also include a miniature version of the replica itself, which contains an even smaller replica of the replica, knit by faeries using unicorn hair?

The 23 year timespan for completion is what worries me, as well as the decision to sell the lot off.

Can't you see it's a bunch of voodoo dolls, surrounded by voodoo buildings, in a voodoo village with voodoo cars driving down the voodoo lanes? Poke a pin into any of that, and someone or something in Mersham will have a bad day.
