Obama Shoes

Obamashoooooe
These commemorative Obama Shoes can be yours for just $39.99. They're "easily an $80 value," according to the TV commercial. (Thanks, Tara McGinley!)

Finally, a change of shoes I can believe in!

-- MrJM

Hidden inside are the unreleased torture pictures. The shoes are also useful for "going forward not backward".

If only Muntadhar al-Zaidi had owned a pair of these...

They just took the swoosh off a Nike Air Force 1. Even the sole is identical.

Similar kicks (and others) were available @ Inauguration. Check 'em out:

Obamamania: 2009 Inauguration merchandise

I just wanted to post some comment about copyright infringement on images involved in copyright infringement litigation. That's all.

Unfortunately with these shoes on you can only take a few steps toward a goal before reversing course.

Peel off the Obama decal and you'll find they're just repurposed Bush sneakers.

Wonder if anyone going to throw one of these at any former world leaders…

You might want to update the original post to mention that adult sizes are $59.99.

For $40 I was going to buy some as a lark, but for $60 I can think of better things to spend my money on.

the seam where the vamp meets the upper makes me think this are Omar (of the Wire) shoes, not Obama shoes

@#2 ...and yet the catalogue promised they'd be transparent. Those are some highl disappointing shoes...

I seriously kinda want some of these, but the website is so fly-by-night that I can't possibly order them.

And what's an 'adult' size? Is that men's or women's?

Too bad, really. I'd rock 'em.

um, where were they made?

Obdan: This is America! Freedom! USA! USA! (Translation: they're probably made in some third world hellhole by children for 8 cents per pair)

Do they promise to be different and then they take it all back?

If only Muntadhar al-Zaidi had owned a pair of these...

What difference would that make really?

Take one step up, two steps back in these same old new shoes.

Sometimes I wonder if Republicans are trying to seed discord through an undercover campaign of posting on random blogs.

I mean, Obama == Bush? Really? In what universe?

Well I was actually referring to the potential humor of someone throwing a shoe with Obama on it at Bush.

Only good for making 180 degree turns from your original direction of travel...

The wiseguy who wears these letting all know he's a keen man of sharp political gumption should be forced to eat these suckers. In fact anyone who buys these is a sucker! Shame on the person who feels wearing these is making a difference other than saying, "Hey, I'm an asshole!" and a Dorkus Gigantea. I'm not a Conservative, I voted for the 'Bama man myself, but to stand so staunchly behind a politician to wear him on your shoes is nothing short of absurd. A liar by any other name is a politician.

Sorry I had to make a TL;DR diatribe, but I had to say it, seeing it seems there's goombas from here to Kabul wearing some article of clothing exercising our sitting President's face. Oh yeah, if these are made in China, they are a literal walking oxymoronic faux pas.

Are these the type of shoes that will always guide the wearer to have a rightard-leaning bias?

Will Americans ever again have a Democrat as Secretary of defense? Or as Ambassador to China?

Is Afghanistan not Vietnam for slow learners?
Another ten years of war? Why?

Shoes for shopes, above: "rightard" means "rightward", but I kinda like that typo.

Obama? An instant "Democrat" emerging only after "honest GWB" had been Pres. for years - GWB, the same man who instituted a torture camp program and after that, named two justices to the Supreme Court - one as Chief Justice!!
US politics have become nothing but a media sham, a puppet show: otherwise, policies would actually change as new faces came in, rather than simply result in a change of "tone" (whatever that may mean - I think it means "no real substantive change").
So the "tone" (they mean rhetorical style and 'propaganda', don't they?) has changed, eh?
So what? Without a change in policies, there will be no change in the outcomes.
And as far as "war" goes, be it on Muslims/Pashtun/"terror"/marijuana/drugs/poverty/homelessness, the policies have not changed. Life will therefore get worse than it needs to be for the average American.

I like these shoes, the aesthetics is magnificent, especially colors are too beautiful ; )
