The swine flu looks remarkably like hospital food.

I was trying to suss it out -- is that pork? Is it some kind of "unicorn"?

Then I saw the next story down.

Nice photos....revealing and I find them slightly surreal.

Granted, the situation is different in Mexico than elsewhere, but I think most of the world is overreacting outside of Mexico.

Instead of whipping up such a global fear, media should have had a dose a skepticism and humor

It is amazing how few of these are:

1. Suitable as a flu/infection preventor.
2. Worn properly.

#6 - How is the situation 'different' in Mexico? It is not 'the world' that is over-reacting, it is the press. Any system that cries 'Wolf!' too many times is doomed to fail. It is the press who are failing to inform people accurately and being alarmist. It took me five or so minutes of searching to determine the virus was not a mix of swine/avian/human, is a 'mild' form of flu that is easily transmitted, the infection rate was not statistically significant.... dah... dah... dah.

Now, can we all get back to ensuring Obama upholds the law (as he is required to do) with regard to bringing Bush, Cheney, and everyone else in the foodchain down who were involved in torture and its approval in front of a court? Can we also focus on the bailout of banks who continue to receive cash that belongs to YOU?

Wow what restraint.

The Mayor of Toronto (who may actually be a more prolific tweeter than Xeni, believe it or not) linked to a remarkable set the other day:
