im giving away my beloved art car. its a 93 civic, originally was white. its covered in unicorns, my favorite animal. i took ever one i collected over the past 20 years and covered my car. sadly i need it gone, i have moved on. i cant be seen with it in my new corporate carreer it drives but not well, has about 200,000 miles on it. come take it away tonight. huxley @ (914) 502-****.

Update: Andy in New Jersey says it's a hoax.
If you Google that phone number... http://www.google.com/q=(914)+502-**** there seem to be lots of strange hits, the most useful talks about pranking some radio show. BTW, areacode 914 is in Westchester County, NY. And while it's possible that someone from NY has moved to Berkeley, or is visiting, in light of the hits above, I still think something else is going on.

Wow. What an incredibly sad bummer.

Can we have a unicorn chase car?

I don't get it, why not buy another car and keep this one? You're not forced to drive every car you own to your corporate job.

@AJ: "why not buy another car and keep this one?"

914 area code is Westchester. If you're living in an apartment building, you may not have anyplace to park that second car...

Hell, I live in the middle of the frikking *boonies* compared to Westchester - and my apartment building has 4 units, and parking spaces for 6 cars. Yes, that means that if 2 neighbors each invite a friend or two over, I just got double-parked. I don't want to talk about what happens on Super Bowl Sunday ;)

I had a sudden image of someone selling a possessed art car on Craiglsist - the Craigslist Killer Car!

I found myself wondering if someone were playing a nasty prank on the owner of a unicorn art car - with that whole "come and take it away" bit.

ppl, this is a radio station reverse prank call prank. You call (914) 502-**** ... and the radio station answers and you say, yeah, i'm calling about the unicorn car... and hilarity ensues.

If you search cl for that phone number, you can see they are doing quite a bit of trolling.

Looks like a Chan-related prank. Everyone goes and makes fake Craigslist posts to get people to call the number. They do, and are featured on somebody's podcast or something. BTW, the -**** is phone keypad code for "****.

This was for the l0de radio hour, the #1 trolling-related talk show on the internet... www.l0de.com . pranks like it were broadcast live friday/saturday night.

The "come f--- my wife" ad was a bit more successful as comedy.

I live in Berkeley and have seen and admired this car. Sorry I don't have a photo, and I can't explain the phone number, but the car does exist.

Oops. I mispoke. Must be my flu. I have seen a zebra car that is pretty cool and fits the description, but not a unicorn car. Sorry for the last comment.

It seems this online radio station (KLULZ?) ran some sort of contest, where listeners were to post a fake Craigslist ad using their (914)502-**** number. Not only was the car listed with that number there were other listings offering clothing, sunglasses, etc, from all over the states. Guess they wanted to prank the unsuspecting folks who call in asking about the items.

It’s not only weird but it does sound like a scam too… but a very weird scam that is. Who would ever want to put unicorns on their car and then decide to give it away? Who would even want a unicorn filled car? It would be nice to hear from the one who got the car though.
