Joanna Harcourt-Smith on Douglas Rushkoff's radio show tells all about her and Leary's arrest, "torture" and compliance.

Douglas Rushkoff says:

I just had an enlightening conversation with counterculture heroine/outcast Joanna Harcourt-Smith, on my radio show The Media Squat (audio stream). She candidly addressed her and Leary’s role in becoming informants for the government, all in the context of Timothy’s imprisonment and Bush-style torture.

I haven’t fully digested everything we spoke about, but thought you should know about the show right away. There’s some new material in here, as well as a new perspective on a particularly dark moment.

Yeah, well, I have an interest in this but that link is totally bogus & I just wasted 10 freaking minutes of my life when I should be pulling weeds. Thanks A Lot ! ! !

Very interesting and inspiring. I particularly found what she was up to right now just as or more fascinating. What a life. Nice accent too.

Hey Gary - sorry you wasted time.

I'm getting an mp3 up that begins where her interview starts, rather than at the opening of the whole show.

Should have it in another few minutes.

"Bush-style torture"???

Take a look at this

Turns out Bush approved certain kinds of interrogation tactics to be used on detainees. Some of them (not waterboarding) were used - according to Harcourt-Smith - on herself and Leary.

There is a book out there, Brainwash By Dominic Streatfeild, that goes into the UK/USA history of the Torture Craft. What really Works is sensory deprivation or attenuation ( Sensory Attenuation as Dr John Lilly discovered, can be re-framed for its high-dose like psychedelic effects).

One great line in the book is the Spook saying that ..."we never thought people would want to use these drugs for Fun!"!
This also gives new meaning to the 40,000 year old Cave Art effect. that is , just being in the caves would quickly generate the psychedelic process.

N.B. If you're listening to the m3u, the interview starts at about 28:00.
