R. Crumb's new Book Of Genesis has apparently pissed off certain religious groups because it includes illustrations of the sex and violence that, of course, is found throughout the Bible. From The Telegraph:

I was about to say that I'm just one of those people who understands things more fully once I see them in visual form, but I think that, when it comes to statistics, "one of those people" really just means "most of us".

I love the 'hero.' put down. It's so innocent but so completely damning. I've used it to great effect with Indian and non-Indian company alike. It always seems to translate.
Heyyy... Hero!
This guy reminds me of an Indian-Canadian version of Gary Baseman.
Wow, this guy's work is very expensive, especially for work that is highly influenced, borderline copied, from commercial artists of old (is that Wimpy I see?).
Too bad all those people are dead, I guess this guy laid claim to all their hard work. They must be rolling in their graves.
I mean no disrespect... but I just think Gary should TRUTHFULLY state where his influences lie, I don't believe his work stems from the inspiration derived from Indian textbooks.
Oh well, to each his own.

Nice to see a 2nd generation guy pronounce the word "hindi" correctly. Just for that, I'm gonna look at his art. heh.
He's not second generation, according to Wikipedia he was born in India.
Hi Herman,
You are right, my influences definitely include The Fleischer Brothers, George Herriman, Rube Goldberg and of course, the wonderful Mr. EC Segar. Thanks for bringing that up, it should have been mentioned for sure.
As for my work being expensive, I do this to pay the bills and there is a lot of time involved in making the works. A lot of my collectors think my work is not priced nearly high enough. So you're right, 'each to his own'!
Finally, Baseman is one of my best pals. I love his work and we also love the same things. To be compared to him is an honour.
Thanks for your input and for taking the time to look at my video and the works. And yes, I'm 1st generation Indian :-)
All the best
Gary
Gary your works are amazing.....it reminds me of old indian signboards or paintings on the lorrys in india....Love it!
