Anatomical models for artist's reference

An exhibitor at the Game Developers' Conference was selling these anatomical models (from anatomytools.com) for use as artist's reference -- they were very beautiful, and my photos came out great (if I do say so myself).

If you visit the site of the company that makes them you'll notice that all the female models have sold out but you can still buy the males.

Lovely. And the word for the day is écorché (ay-kor-SHAY), from the French for "flayed", which has become an noun-ish sort of thing for one of these see-the-muscles reference figures (usually, but not always, human).

Nice, but $200 is well beyond my budget for fairly small, likely cast-plastic models, anatomical or otherwise.
