Federated Media launches ExecTweets

Moments ago, our partner John Battelle and the team at Federated Media launched the beta of ExecTweets, a new service for folks to find and follow business execs on Twitter. It's an interesting model, essentially a lens on Twitter that's further organized by specific industry, like tech, media, healthcare, etc. While the content isn't necessarily up my alley, I can easily imagine a slew of other Twitter lenses I'd appreciate. I'd wager that ExecTweets is just a hint of what's to come. Congrats, JBat and FM! ExecTweets

The web today looks like we imagined in 1993. But Facebook and Twitter are the new platforms (finally) offering the interactivity we always wanted on websites (soon to be obsolete). I was once known as the "Oldest Woman on the Web" but even now I doubt that many people over 65 are using FB and Twitter. This new lens for Execs is just the beginning ... go Twitter go!
"9:34AM - Just exposed company to potential 34 billion liability. Accounting jittery. Pencil pushers don't realize you need to take risks to make profit."
"9:42AM - Can't wait for this year's performance bonus so I can build second pool."
"11:53AM - OMG, I ♥ taquitos!!!"
"12:25PM - What a day! Time to head out to the links for some well-deserved R&R."
"2:13PM - OMG, just hit hole in one!"
:)
wow, I had totally different dreams and hopes for the web back in 1993. I thought reading diaries on people I didn't know and couldn't care less about was a weird idea even back then but I thought it was just something that people would grow out of, little did I know.
Twitter is retarded.
GeekMan, no.
"9:34AM - Process server at door. I'm sleeping under the bed tomorrow." "9:42AM - Oh, shit! The Schadenfreude Tour bus just pulled up outside." "11:53AM - OMG, I ♥ Securitas!!!" "12:25PM - What a day! Time to head out to the attorney's office to discuss strategy for securing my bonus." "2:13PM - OMG, is that my car being repo-ed?"
Many execs pay a service to 'tweet' for them. Now we can have third parties creating and consuming PR bullshit.
And nothing of value was lost....
Couldn't read SherryArt's msg: was > than 140 chars.
@ANTINOUS: That's the next day's feed. :D
websites (soon to be obsolete)
Websites are going to be obsolete?? Here I was thinking I was all hip to this web shit, I guess I have no grasp of anything at all..
@#1
The best possible use I can imagine for any social networking site is to allow for the growth of community within a digital landscape.
The potential for Twitter to allow people to share their most profound thoughts and personal epiphanies and concurrantly see how many others world wide share those thoughts could allow the youth of the future to see how similar we all are.
I would like to see a lens that collects all those profound thoughts. I may be reaching a bit with its ultimate potential. Maybe not
Thank you for you time and consideration
I think it's awesome that somebody went to the trouble to compile a bunch of tweets by "executives" without telling me who these people are.
How soon can we expect porntweets.com?
Let's hope for some juicy executive me-and-my-big-mouth moments. Can't think what else Twitter s good for.
