Belated happy MAR10 day -- celebrate it with cookies

Tessie sez, "My husband has a very talented student who in honor of March 10th made Mar10 cookies. She cut out the shapes and frosted them using only a butter knife. She gave 7 different cookies to us and this was just a few of the many she made."

This reminds me of my brothers 16th birthday. He's a huge Metroid fan; he's played and beat every game, and replayed Metroid Prime 6 times. We frosted the morf-ball insignia onto his birthday cake. Damn it looked good.

Mario trifecta! Never seen that before...

call me a square, but my first thought upon seeing the headline was "martian."

Cute Mario!!

So will Sunday be Maris Day?

Hmm.. This is very nice, since I have not been seeing this since I was 10 years old. Good job.

If there is a way for us to know how to make it, that is even better.

1Up, 1Up, 1Up for you!

I've posted many more photos of "cute cooking" - including instructions on how to make them - on my blog:

http://cuteyummytime.wordpress.com/

And I've written a cookbook about this trend (Cute Yummy Time), coming out this November from Perigee/Penguin USA!

I'm a Mario Day purist. Mario Day existed long before Super Mario. He can be included, but it's not a gamer holiday as the Urban Dictionary claims. It's a global holiday for all Marios. Release your inner Mario!
