Vancouver-based painter Ryan Heshka takes inspiration from Golden Age science fiction pulp covers. He has a show opening March 14 at Miami's Harold Golen Gallery. Dangit, how come I only hear about Vancouver artist's shows when they're in Miami or New York or LA and not when they're here at home?

What "vintage sf" inspired these? I hope I'm not just some dummy who doesn't recognize what's right in front of my face.
