This record has been in the works since 'Wu Orleans' but the arrival of my daughter and some 'official' releases distracted me, and drove me to seek help completing it. And I am glad I did. Thanks, but some of those remixes really don't work for me, like Ziggy's Lullabye (Shawn Colvin + Beatles? Urgh) and Starman.

I love Bowie's music, and this made a wonderful 'unicorn chaser' after all the global warming sadness on Boing Boing this morning.

Got to disagree with Davechua about Starman. Excellent mash-up will be playing this for weeks..haven't fully explored Ziggy's Lullabye to comment in that yet, but what I have heard so far is genius.

I like it. Like Bowie himself, there are some good reinventions here. I doubt the DJ mix artists here thought they'd, you know, improve and exceed the original. I think it's just a nice tribute from the bedroom remix kids.

OK, just finished a third listening in the same number of hours. There are some tunes in there that are quite catchy. Some lack, but as a whole, I would have to give it a thumbs up.

For those that have negative comments, I ask, have you even downloaded the thing?

I was fully prepared to be disappointed this wasn't available on vinyl-- until I heard it. Bowie is awesome but these remixes are mostly just lame.

ehhh, some work... some just make bowie's voice sound lifeless, which basically makes listening a waste of time. (cf. starman)

The final cut, "Five Years (World Famous Audio Hacker's Brainache Mix)" contains many ringtone possibilities.
