Kid on Drugs, the Animated Remake.
Well, that took all of, what, 4 hours? Wow. David After Dentist, Animated, by Scott Bateman (thanks, @batemananimation). Previously on Boing Boing: Kid on Drugs (video).

Reminds me of Home Movies.
purest win.
Oh wow...this is even more effective being animated. Thanks!
Made me laugh again. But watching the original would have too. I would have liked things flying out of his head, extra eyes and fingers popping up... just more... you know... animation...
but cheers! 4 hours! wow!
I totally want a T-shirt with his pic and "It this real life?" on it. Dad should get some made up and open a college fund up for his kid.
This article needs some more Dr Katz/Home Movies/the wackness love.
I would have liked to see visitors' reactions to this animated/audio clip before they were exposed to the video version. I bet there wouldn't have been half the outrage.
this will ruin this cartoon's future.
that is a hell of a good idea Noen, the cartoon pic with the new meme - the timing is right!
OMFG, now I wanna see Home Movies again.
Now that I think about it, that show reminds me of You Suck At Photoshop for some reason.

As I said over on the You Tubes... this isn't real life, David. It's The Waking Life.
Ooooo - I like the Home Movies animated version much more. Feels much less voyeuristic and you can concentrate more on what he is saying. It does remind me of nursing a few people through Dead shows...
I'm waiting patiently for a more animated version to come out. ...waits impatiently...
Seriously good source material. Trey, Matt...psst.
I just keep wondering why it keeps telling me "We're sorry, this video is no longer available". Even though it very clearly is available to most people.
Holy shit, I'm animating it too. But it'll take more time, so don't hold your breath.
Meh. Seems like a wasted chance to do something really creative with that audio. The original video is much more effective.
I agree, the animation is too minimalist...they should've done it all trippy-like.
Reminds me also of that show where they animated the stand-up routines of comics...Shorties watching Shorties (Comedy Central). Now THAT had some funny visuals...
And Dr. Katz/Home Movies, of course.
I would like to see an animated video of the father, rather than the son.
