a progress bar for kids in a car??? why not just give the kid a map? that's how I learned... a 14 hour trip and I could read a map like a pro... as it is today, give me a map and a compass and I can find my way home from anywhere!
and seeing how far you have come vs how far you have yet to go was (I feel) the first progress bar of them all...

I started watching the progress bar video and my computer started revving up like a jet engine. What the hell is up with that? Is there something freaky going on with that site?
