Ok, maybe you guys can help me find a font i have been looking for. The actual style of font doesn't matter that much, something simple like Arial or Times New Roman would work. I want a font that has all the letters that can be ('o's 'e's 'a's 'R's, etc.), filled in.
I am sure a font like that must exist somewhere but i have no idea how to find it.
It's not free, and it's not "simple", in quite the way you mean, but the same company that does the Simian font above sells something called HouseCut for fifty bucks.
yeah; im with jeffthechef & daemonsquire on this one; very weak knock-off. House is a really cool company too; not so sure I'm supportive of this BB post. Seems like they could have found something better to post.
I should have clarified: my post at #6 was in response to Skatanic's question in #5.
Vis-Ã -vis postings of free fonts, Scothampton, I'm all in favor. Yeah, this one is weak, but I don't get the sense that it's any more a rip-off of House's Simian fonts than just modeled (amateurishly) on the original movie logo. You get what you pay for.
How might I download this and other appetizing fonts from this sight and load them for my iMac? Unfortunately I've forgotten how and/or never really knew how. These here series of intertubes frighten and confuse me. I want some pudding... and some knowledgeable advice without acknowledging my epic nerd failure status please...
I'd like the font of the signs of "The Prisoner", please.
Very poor ripoff of the real Planet of the Apes font:

That uppercase "B" is a joke.

JefftheChef,
I subscribe to the thought of best things do not cost $160, ergo the preference for free one.

Oh brother, *now* they release this. Where was this in 1997 when I needed it?!

"Take your stinkin fonts off me you damned dirty ape!"

Yes, House is a pretty cool company and BB has linked to them often in the past
I just followed my own link in #10 above and learned that not everyone thinks they're "pretty cool".
But their letters sure look pretty.
At any rate, I doubt BB is bound to make a habit of posting free, albeit weak, alternatives to House fonts...

Ed Benguiat designed the title font! That is a cool bit of trivia I learned inspired by the post. Thanks JEFFTHECHEF for the further info.
