I've got a great audio file of them performing "Catfish Boogie" as performed on either a radio or television show. I obtained it in the 90s believing it might be Bootsy Collins and his brother, Catfish, but I was mistaken. Nonetheless, I kept it and integrated it into a fine mix CD. I'm glad to see other bits popping up.
Weird how many ways this connects up to other bits and pieces of the entertainment industry. The host we see introducing them for a second was John Ritter's dad, and the prepubescent guitar god went on to write Delta Dawn -- kid star Tanya Tucker's first big hit.
Yikes, the energy Larry is putting out is astounding, as is Lottie's pure rockabilly voice. This really is quite a show.
So much to see and hear of rock roots in this clip: the Bo Diddley beat and the chattering guitar work, of course, but also note the nonsense yelps, the near-duckwalk that Larry hints at trying, the space-ranger epaulets that Michael Jackson took over, the wild Mosrite double-neck guitar and embroidered pants that totally capture Jimmy Page circa "The Song Remains The Same."
Somehow, I never really knew about the Collins Kids, but I've been educated. Thanks much for this.

I'm sure Bo Diddly is proud to have this as part of his legacy.
Never heard of them before. This was a delight and the sister was HOT.
Then I got clicking away on YouTube and went off on a Patsy Kline tear. Was all good.
Thank you.
That Larry Collins is like a guitar tornado! Go Larry go!
Po-jama people!
Po-jama people, people!
Wrap 'em up
Roll 'em out
Get 'em out of my way
That's a Mosrite twin-neck the boy is playing, for those who were wondering.

wow, that's like watching a movie of live ancient Romans or something. give that kid some coffee before he falls asleep
That's kind of a neat boogie diddly.
This music is dangerous I tell you. We mustn't let womenfolk or impressionable youngsters near it. No telling what might happen.
