what is up with all these ukelele covers anyway? I utterly HATE the sound of a uke- it's like a tinny, non- resonating guitar. Terrible. I have, in all of these never heard anything that sounded GOOD. All well played, yes, but all equally suck mainly because the instrument itself simply can't sound good.
Just found out my grandmother's banjo ukulele I played as a child is hiding somewhere in my mother's house. I'm working on a plan.
please stop making me feel insanely inadequate at ukulele playing.
Very nice technique! And that is a really nice little soprano uke.

John King has a great site, particularly if you're interested in the history of the 'ukulele. It's Nalu Music.
John is playing a reproduction 1890 Jose do Espirito Santo style uke made by Berkeley luthier Mike DaSilva.
Lots more dis kine stuff at Mark Frauenfelder's Ukulelia.
