MIGHTMOUSE @4, Nah, metastyle is always in style. ; )

I always see that colour as a tenor singing G-flat. Not F-sharp, mind you, G-flat.

"Yellow is the new black"

I would be willing to wager that those who would care about this already know, and those who don't know about this wouldn't really care.

I wish. Yellow has always been my favorite color. Much of my clothing is yellow. Finally, I'm accidentally in style.

I was also accidentally in style when peasant blouses were fashionable. Then they went out again and I'm passe. So it goes.

It would work as an accent color, but not a wearing color for me.

Whatever happened to that hot color for 2008- deep sapphire blue? I hardly saw it anywhere.

I'll take real black instead, please.

I'm gonna have to second Codereduk on this.

But this is almost exactly the shade van Gogh spent so much time perfectly at Arles! Will we see a spike in van Gogh print sales and general sunflower pictures over the coming year?

re: #1, ANGRYF - yeah. That's Baby Poop Yellow. There's nothing that is going to make a parent think it's the new Black. Of course, parents are hopelessly un-stylish and don't even aspire to disposable income (if anyone does these days.)

What a coincidence. I just switched to a very yellow desktop background a few days ago. Bring it on, 2009!

I'm not sure it's true about yellow, but fashion industry forecasters do get together to decide the next season's colors. That way, you can buy a Brand A top and match it with a Brand B pair of slacks. If Brand C doesn't want to play, they get stuck in the remainder pile at the end of the season.

i would also like to go on a limb here and predict that parachute pants are the this years pantaloons! XD

p.s. The "is the new black" statement was made with tongue firmly planted in cheek.

i must agree, for how else could someone take "the new black" references seriously.

That image doesn't do the color justice at all (looks like a scanned photo coverted to cmyk and back to RGB!).

It's really quite a nice color.

The "command gold" tunic colour on old-school "Star Trek" (both of them).

"Harvest Gold" is an official colour of the Seventies Amish.
