Yesterday, I posted that oddity auction scout Michael-Anne Rauback has been seeking unusual vintage chairs this week (just for kicks, not to buy). Here is the second of her top three online finds: A chair fashioned from a child's drum, circa 1940s. Child's Drum Chair

For what it's worth, Remo advertises their "kids drum" series as being sturdy enough to be used as children's furniture when not being pounded on ... while actually sounding pretty darned decent. My experience confirms that claim.

My son also has been known to use his Remo kids tom drum as a footstool.

Reminds me of The Tin Drum (Die Bleichtrommel). Not the best thing for a little kid at home alone with HBO in 1980.
