Sovkitsch funny postcards

Prague's sovkitsch (Commiepunk?) Museum of Communism has some funny e-card designs that combine Socialist Realism with snappy captions.

Nice.
How about "Fill out these forms in triplicate and wait in line outside, the glory of the Motherland depends on it."
I've been to this museum, it's quite interesting though I think the Anti-Communism Museum would be a better name. They had a lot more examples of this cards in the shop, it's too bad they only put these three up on the website.
I agree that the museum is interesting, but if you are in Prague I recommend only visiting the gift shop at the entrance. It's located in a lovely building, and there are plenty of witty things like this. The rest of the museum is quite tourist oriented, and it's a bit pricey.
Funny, then again, I lived through that. A good counterpoint to that Museum of Communism is the monument to all the Czechs lost to communism and the perilous exodus in that period. It's located on Petrin Hill, in Mala Strana.

Commiepunk? Wha?
Redpunk, of course.
I remember reading some Communist magazine (Socialist Worker I think?) about a year ago, which included an article about Soviet kitsch. The article included examples like this, considering them to be a serious obstacle to keeping Marxist thought relevant, especially since a whole generation has grown up without the existence of the Soviet Union, and encounters Communism simply as ironic kitsch.
However the postcards are true, Communism actually is laughably irrelevant.
I agree that the museum is worth a miss if you're short on time in Prague. However, I took a walking tour about communism. The old Czech man who led my tour was hilarious and insightful.

Yes. . . but for how long?
Let them laugh, comrade. We will laugh last and longest.
Basil Exposition: The Cold War's over.
Austin Powers: Ah, finally those capitalist pigs will pay for their crimes, eh? Eh, comrades? Eh?
Basil Exposition: Austin, we won.
Austin Powers: Oh, groovy, smashing. Yay capitalism!

Wait.. that's not England, no?
Have you got a 27B/6?
