Sweet steampunky shed

Outa Spaceman of the ReaderSheds site has a gallery showing off his sweet steampunk/apocalyptic shed. I'm generally pretty content with my little flat, but every now and again I wish I had a garden just so I could install a shed like this!

apocalyptic shed? Where's the guns and ammo? Or at the very least the holes to shoot out of.
#Eclectro I have added more images of the shed to the blog post, no gun holes...
buta few photos of Outa Spaceman's 'Viper' Pneumatic Machine Weapon.
you're delirious

I just talked to some leading shednologists and they also don't quite agree with this shed beeing particularly steampunky.
metaroll, it's the Sheddie who is steampunk more than the shed... he uses the shed to molise his steampunkerly
A shed. That's "steampunky". Right...
Just because there's wacky stuff all over something doesn't make it steampunk. I guess this is more steampunky than that "book purse" from a while back, at least.
How does it compare to the sewing machine?
I've never actually 'promoted' my shed as being steampunk in any way...
I've always considered it a 'cupboard to put a man in..'
I certainly wouldn't feature it on the Brass Goggles blog...
How ever...
As a space to dream dreams in, drink a couple of hefty draughts of real ale and browse a 40 year old copy of 'Razzle' it works a treat...

You're posting this just to get a rise out of us, right? ;) How on Earth is this "steampunky?" A couple of stencils and little antenna sculpture does not, by any stretch of the imagination, make "steampunky."
"I wish I had a garden just so I could install a shed like this!"
Glad to see that your new, simplified lifestyle is working out for you!
Let's see..
No gingerbread scroll work..
No legs...
No tin chimney spouting happy puffs of smoke...
Not a steampunk shed.
Oh yes..
I forgot to mention...
The "wacky stuff" all over my shed is there, not for decorative purposes, but to develop a patina on them...
Eventually all of it will be used in something or other I'm building (in the shed)
I don't see the point of developing elaborate paint effects when leaving stuff outside works better and is actually cheaper...

Having dug deeper, I realise two things:
1) "steampunkY" is used as in "-esque" to describe the shed
2) the easier description would now be "Sweet steampunker's shed"
3) it's the dreams inside that count...
hope this helps those who've either had too little or too much coffee, tea, etc. this AM.
I wish you'd ask me about the music. Everybody talks about the sheds. They've got it out of proportion...I'm a composer. I'm going to get rid of the shed. I'm fed up with it!
You would love Mississippi!
is that a mighty boosh logo on the door? a shed fit for the king of the mods.
Are these the best comments you guys can come up with?
methinks this entire genre is running out of steam.

I only say it out loud when I know it's REALLY going to bother someone. And usually the only people who criticize me are those who hide their identity in some way.

BTW, why you gotta be such a dick? I come to BB to smile. If I wanted to deal with crap like that I'd go to freerepublic
Boring thread. I'm shutting it down.
