I love Johnny Yanok's cover art for the Mexican surf/garage/psychedelic band Telekrimen.

Pretty cool - very Mars Attacks! -esque.

Also, what's this bit of html that's added when I post a link do? rel="nofollow"

Maybe more of a cross between Mars Attacks! and War of the Worlds.

Loved the art, but after noticing the misplaced apostrophe in "Blood-Zombie's" I can't help but be irked.

Feels very Samurai Jack to me.

-abs still loves that show, deeply, truely, passionately.

After all that loving craft and illustration work...

..."Blood-Zombie's"?? Ack!!

One thing to keep in mind is that the misplaced apostrophe might be part of the low-rent 60's design authenticity.

Visuals are great, but so is the music! After hearing a bit on myspace, I must own this album. Can't find a link to legally purchase this anywhere in the googleverse. any help appreciated.

Thanks for the post, mark! and thanks for the nice comments, everybody. Rest assured, the final file does not contain the offensive apostrophe. I have the wrong file presented on my website, and will upload the correct file soon. Thanks again, I am very flattered!

They look like alien versions of Beavis and Butt-head

johnny - thank god you posted. your drawings intensely remind me of something - i think it might be the background art in the Goofy 'how to' cartoons (maybe amongst some others?).. it's a real itch in my brain - any chance you could enlighten me?.

lovely drawing by the way!

I've watched Johnny's aesthetic stay true, yet evolve over the years, and am happy to see him boinged! Nice job, Johnny.

Incidentally, from knowing him, I can report that he actually lives the life portrayed in his images! It is both terrifying and beautiful, with a hint of Scratch-N-Sniff, nostalgic aroma. In other words, awesome.
