Great.
Now the Indiana Jones music is stuck in my head for who knows how long.
Sheesh.
Probably should have pointed out that he isn't singing the four parts, just making a video to something done years ago. It's still incredible, though.
@nigelstwin: do some math in your head, count out your times tables. that'll kill it!
That was incredible! Thanks for posting.
I loved it, but about half way through, my wife (reading), asked, "That's not going to last much longer is it?" Women don't seem to appreciate this stuff as much as guys.
@xeni jardin: I'm an "English" teacher at VCU! Math is out of my field! (grin)
Credit where it's due (which is mentioned in the YouTube sidebar), this was originally the work of the Moosebutter a capella comedy troupe:

An English teacher - Great! I always have trouble with my commas and where I should, or shouldn't use them. Do I need to use one before the word, "or?" And, did I punctuate correctly in my above post? Also, is it OK to start sentences with, "And" and "Also," as I have in this post?
Thanks
Cute. Also of note is the one-man 64-track acapella cover of Thriller.

la la la!
@nigelstwin, no way! My father taught there!
@xeni jardin: Yeah, way. I just found out that we had Richmond in common a few days ago. It's good to see people escape. Keep up the good work!
@tom hale: I used to date a criminal psychologist and nobody ever talked to us at parties 'cause people were afraid that I was judging their grammar and she was evaluating them. That is to say, I don't usually quibble about the little stuff on the interwebs. I mostly have issue with the folks who don't bother with spelling. Ergo, you're doin' an awesome job.
And now, after a third view, it's Superman that's running in my head. Ack!
@Tom Hale
How unfortunate. I showed this to my wife over the weekend and she loved the whole thing.
I'm a woman, I loved it, but I tend to make up words for instrumentals.
no way, I ATTEND VCU!
too much richmond for one posting...
If you're familiar with the anime Azumanga Daioh, you're probably familiar with its rather whimsical soundtrack, which was performed by a group known as Kuricorder.
The reason I mention this? They also performed a cover of the Imperial March from Star Wars, in the same style.
Mind = Blown.
Clever "player" tshirt, top-left.
..after watching: Top Drawer!
That was great! Took me a minute to get that the words weren't specific to each theme, but Brilliant!
codeman38, Their version of the Imperial March was great! Thanks for posting.
good job, good enough to slip thru my anti-SW filter.
Codeman & TomHale
Here's Kuricorder doing the sound for a fabulously clever music video.
It take a sec to click in, but watch it all :)
arkizzle, What a delightful video and piece of music. I'll have to look into this group. Thanks
Good stuff.
Reminds me of this classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53DQgbj2mIc
Petra Haden does a multi track a capella version of "the Who Sell Out." You can sample it on iTunes. Her rendition of Armenia In The Sky is particular awesome. Floating around out there is an interview of her and Mike Watt I think discussing the process.
Freakin Brilliant! Great find Xeni!!!
Hah! I bought this song just two weeks ago, unfortunately nothing else on the cd warranted buying the whole album..
Favourite part: Jurassic park/whiny Luke. Fantastic!
really amazing what this ppl are doing, I wished I could to music this way or playing an instrument.
i LOVE IT!!!
